Business Process Management (BPM) Analyst

Job Summary:
Provides all aspects of analysis, including strategy, concept development, scope definition, problem discovery, design, issue resolution, and aligning the business and technical teams to translate business needs into technology solutions. Assembles the information revealed during the BPM stages into process architecture and hierarchies, aligning people, systems, governance, business rules, policies, and procedures while defining overlaying hierarchies of process metrics and KPIs. Translates the information from the BPM analysis and data gathering process into successful workflow within the BPM tool. The successful BPM analyst must be able to effectively collaborate and share collective insight with system-wide team members, document project deliverables and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Works with all levels of the organization in the entire system to meet our business process management needs and successfully leverage the BPM tool. Manages multiple business stakeholder expectations, document business processes and identify areas for improvement/automation/optimizations to complement business and strategic decisions. Documents and communicates strategic intent, roadmap planning and development for change initiatives. Performs detailed Gap Analysis between current and future state processes models. Provides strategic support to departments in defining and designing business processes based on vision and requirements at department, interdepartmental and corporate levels. Assesses near–term needs, utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities; consults with technical Subject Matter Experts; advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other processes and system priorities. Facilitates development of solutions across service lines potentially consolidating processes and requirements, as well as process facilitation techniques. Captures, defines, analyzes and translates functional and non-functional business requirements into process and activity models, system use cases and supplemental specifications that contribute to effective software development. Creates workflows in the BPM tool to support the needs of the users and based upon the process modeling and analysis efforts. Recommends improvements to methodologies and processes and helps integrate or implement them in order to increase productivity and improve processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience: At least 4 years healthcare experience. Experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing new strategies and translating business requirements into defined solutions and projects, using business process tools. Skilled at documenting process flows, time studies, and other process analysis tools and techniques.

Accounts Receivable Manager, Self Pay Team

Job Summary:
Direct, train and supervise a group of personnel within the Self Pay AR Team of Patient Financial Services. Must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal relationship skills and abilities and assist with team development in areas of continuous improvement, team building skills and team performance.

Duties Include:
1. Manage front line staff responsible for billing and collections of hospital self pay receivables including: hiring, orienting, training, monitoring     productivity, evaluating performance, supervising daily, ensuring quality assurance, scheduling, disciplining and terminating.
2. Complete bi-weekly time and attendance and payroll accurately and timely.
3. Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting, e.g., STAR reports, aged trial balances, etc. including self pay billing and collection agency vendors.
4. Facilitate process improvement within the respective area to streamline processes for more efficiency.
5. Participate in inter-departmental meetings as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Prefer Bachelors degree and two years experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and five years experience. Experience in revenue cycle/patient financial services operations as well as experience in a supervisory position including knowledge of billing/medical terminology strongly preferred.

Patient Accounts Manager

Basic Function: Plans and directs patient insurance, billing, collections and data processing to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection.

Supervises, trains, orients and evaluates performance over assigned personnel. Recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Assists in developing, implementing, and administering annual capital budget and initiating corrective action to significant variances.

Reviews current status of patient accounts to identify and resolve billing and processing problems in a timely manner.

Establishes and implements a system for the effective and timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable.

Responsible for identifying potential “quality improvements” and facilitating teams to analyze issues and implement improvements.

Exemplifies excellent customer service relations with patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers. Holds themselves and subordinates accountable for conforming to Service Excellence and LMC policies and procedures.

Position: Registration / Switchboard Supervisor

Has responsibility for supervising inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department registration and admissions, the completion of all said paperwork, and supervising the switchboard. Has the overall responsibility for supervising all Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department Registration, and Switchboard Operator personnel.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required, two years college preferred.
- Minimum five years of prior supervisory experience required, preferably in a Hospital Admitting/ER Admitting office setting.
- Knowledge of Meditech systems preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of the legal and technical aspects of admitting, third party insurance, and scope of responsibility in treating indigent patients.
- Must be proficient with computer programs necessary for patient registrations/ admissions.
